Signing up for lessons with Zach gives you access to a broad range of expertly crafted & research informed resources designed to help learners gain a deep conceptual mastery of mathematical topics rather than just rote memorisation. In addition students receive weekly homework (optional, but encouraged) to allow constant recall from across the curriculum.
All lessons take place in an online interactive whiteboard space, ensuring they are highly engaging and allowing pupils and tutors to work on problems together in real time.
Developing independent study skills is key for academic success. Our personalised reports and progress trackers provide students the tools needed to excel in their revision. Detailed lesson reports follow each lesson, and all students receive a customised progress tracker and top-class resources relevant to their course of study enabling them to direct their own study time efficiently.
Maths lessons are 55minutes long and generally begin with a short starter designed to ensure students are regularly practicing keyskills. From here a short review of the weeks homework (if requested) takes place. To help develop students’ independent learning skills (vital for success at GCSE and above), students receive full solutions with homework questions, with which they are encouraged to self mark and reflect on their answers. This allows tutors to spend this part of the lesson focussing on addressing the main issues the homework brought up.
The bulk of the lesson focusses on the specific topics that require work. These are usually identified through a combination of an initial consultation, weekly homework, and regularly reviews between students and tutors. Each student has access to their own personal lesson and progress tracker where the exact details of each lesson topic can be viewed.
Each lesson concludes with a few minutes for the student and tutor to reflect on the work covered, progress made. Students are encouraged to actively reflect on their own learning and progress, and set achievable goals for revision (where appropriate).

The first 2 sessions are on a no-commitment basis. Payment for each session is required at least 24 hrs before the session start time. After this we ask that sessions are purchased in blocks of at least 4.
